A Christmas gift!

Happy holidays!
Just a few days now, and Christmas is here!
I`ve made a Christmas gift for today`s post at Flourishes, using one of my all time favorite Flourishes sets, the Poinsetta and Boxwood.

I made the box from cardstock, and decorated it with Spellbinders Fleur de Lis die cuts and satin ribbon.

As you see, I`ve made an acetate window for the recipient to have a sneak peek at the contents...

A close-up of the window... The poinsetta was stamped, colored with Le Plume Markers and cut out.

Inside the box...

...The set of cards.

This was my last Limelight sunday, and I have so enjoyed my time at Flourishes! I would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a happy, creative new year! Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
I hope to see you all next year:)

Framed Nasturtiums

Happy Sunday!

A while back I recieved a message from Julie at Flourishes, asking if I wanted to be the Limelight Designer of December over at the Flourishes Newsletter. I can`t even tell you how excited I was!! It is such an honor, so thank you so much, Julie!

This is my first card for the Limelight month. I chose to work with the beautiful Nasturtiums set, and colored it with Distress Inks.
I used Spellbinders dies to create the frame, and If you are interested in seeing a little step-by-step instruction on how to make it, simply head over to the Flourishes Newsletter!
The background is cuttlebug embossed, and I pierced around the edges with the Victorian borderabilities set from Spellbinders.

Thanks so much for visiting, and have a wonderful day!

Flower Power!

Happy Wednesday!

Half way through this Flower-Power-Retro inspired card I nearly gave up, because it was sooo time consuming! I did finish it though, but if you are looking for a "ten minute card" this is not the one you`d want to make...LOL! The card is based on this SCS sketch.

I used the smaller part from the Fleur De Lis Pendants set for the background, and I also used the Blossom Nestabilities. The flowers are from Flourishes , and they are stamped, colored with Le Plume Markers and cut out. IOW very easy;)

Thanks so much for stopping by and have ha wonderful day!

Easter Card

Hi everyone!

Between sneezing and wiping my nose, I thought I`d share a card that I made last week. I didn`t get to post it until now.

I`ve actually never made a real easter card, but seeing this beautiful image from Serendipity made me want to! The image can be found here. I embossed the image, cut it out and layered the lillies for a 3d effect. I colored it with Distress Inks. I used Spellbinders Label six, and swirls from the Floral Accent set. Fancy tags to hold the ribbon. The corners are Cuttlebug dies.

I know I haven`t been visiting all of your fabulous blogs lately, but I plan to do some serious blog hopping as soon as my headache gets better!

Serendipity November Challenge

It is time for another Serendipity DT challenge, and this month we were to make shaped cards! And once again I had to step out of my comfort zone...LOL!
I chose to do a circle card, but it ended up more like a snowflake or something...hee hee. Not the most practical card, but I just could`nt help myself:)
I used the beautiful Christmas Chapel image, and colored it with Distress Inks. The "snowflake" shape was made from Spellbinders dies.

And If you would like to take part in the customer challenge this month, you`ll have the chance to win a gift certfificate! You`ll find the information you need at the

OCC ~ Vintage

It`s already thursday (again), and today I found the time to make a card:) It`s been raining for MANY days now, and today it`s actually snowing a little too! So the weather is at least perfect for indoor activities.
Sorry about the bad picture though, the lighting is just terrible today!

The card turned out kind of vintage/shabby chic, so that would make it perfect for the vintage challenge at Our Creative Corner.

I used a stamp called He knows from Heartfelt Creations. I stamped, colored and cut the flowers, and layered them for the 3d effect. The sentiment is from the Mini Message Cursive set. The frame was made using Spellbinders dies.
I kept the rest of the card neutral and simple to make the flowers pop even more. The background is cuttlebug embossed. Borderpunch from Fiskars....and of course some pearls to finish it off:)

I hope you have a wonderful day, and thanks for visiting!

Christmas tree

Happy thursday!

Today I have a Christmas card to share, with a beautiful image from Heartfelt Creations. It`s called Blue Spruce. I stamped it with Archival Ink, Olive, colored it with Distress Inks, and added some rhinestones for the sparkle. The first background is CB embossed and sponged with white pigment ink. The frame and the side elements are all spellbinders dies, papers from Graphic 45.

I hope you have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!!

Autumn Owl!

This is a card made with one of Serendipity`s newest images. It is called Autumn Owl. I think it`s gorgeous!
I`ve colored it with Distress Inks. The background is cuttlebug embossed craft CS, slightly sponged with white ink. The frame is made with circle and square Spellbinders dies and the corners were cut with my Cricut. The decorative elements are Spellbinders dies too.

....And for those of you who had questions about the Ornament in my last post...

These were my supplies:

The little flourish die is called Floral Accents...
Simply attatch them around the circle with dimensionals.

Use dimensionals between all layers, and some hardware for the ribbon...

Was that simple or what!?
Hope this was helpful, and that you would like to try it out!

Thanks so much for visiting, and have a wonderful day!

Serendipity October challenge!

Happy thursday everyone!
It`s time for the monthly Serendipity DT challenge, and this time Mary has challenged us to do a christmas ornament or gift!
I have never done an ornament before, but had a blast doing this one, and it was super easy too!!

Once again I chose to work with the beautiful Snowflake flourish images. They come in two sizes, and I`ve used both for this ornament. The images are stamped with Color Box pigment brush pad, Cerulean, and colored with a lighter shade of blue. For the ornament shape, I`ve used spellbinders dies. I also added silk ribbon and a bow, and of course some pearls to finish it off.

So now you need to check out some more amazing works by the rest of the team:

Want to see something FUNNY?

Whenever I`ve finished a card I often show it to one of my kids, just to hear their opinion. You know, you always get the truth from kids...
So when I showed this card to my son today, all he did was to LAUGH!!
I said "what is it?" And he said "aah...the image is so funny..."
Yeah, right!! I could see all over his face that he was lying!
(I think he was laughing at the card in general...LOL!)

And after seeing his reaction, I had to laugh too!! So at least this card gave us a joyful moment of laughter this afternoon:))

Well, the image used on this FUNNY card is from Heartfelt Creations and is called Bubble Bath. It is colored with Distress Inks. Papers from Crate Paper, and borderpunch from Martha Stewart.

Thanks for stopping by today (and If you are laughing right now, that`s OK too)!!

OCC~Monochromatic mania!

This is a slightly different card made for the monochromatic challenge at Our Creative Corner. I guess you could say that I spent some quality time with my cuttlebug last night...LOL!

The sweet little Snowflake image is from Serendipity. I stamped it with Color Box Fluid Chalk, Pink Pastel, and sponged with Distress Ink, Antique Linen. All the layers are Spellbinders Dies, except the ones holding the ribbon. Those are Cuttlebug Dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!!

Graceful swan

Happy monday everyone!

A while ago I was so lucky to be asked to do a card/tutorial for the online magazine StampArtic. The theme was "Frames on cards", and you might have noticed that frames are one of my favorite things to add to my cards:)

This is the card I came up with, and if you want to see the step by step instructions, simply head over to StampArtic.
As usual the images were colored with Distress Inks, and the stamps used are from Heartfelt Creations , Graceful Swan, and Filler Leaves.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Royal Fruit!

Today I have a Heartfelt Creations card to share with you. I used a delicious Grape image, and instead of the regular purple ones, I decided to go for green grapes!

The image is colored with Le Plume Markers and Distress Iks. The decorative "top" is made from Spellbinders dies. Added some bling and a bow to give it kind of a royal feel :)

Thanks so much for visiting, and have a wonderful day!!

Very Vintage Rose

I`ve seen so many gorgeous cards using this weeks sketch at the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge blog, and just had to try it too!

After all those Very Vibrant colors at my last post, I thought I`d go for Very Vintage this time...LOL!
I used a Rose image from Serendipity as the focal point.
It is colored and distressed with Distress Inks. I`ve used metal corners to create the vintage "frame", and Spellbinders dies for the decorative elements.

Thanks so much for visiting, and have a happy day!!

Boo!

The Serendipity DT challenge this month was to make a halloween card.
And I have to tell you I was WAY out of my comfort zone...LOL!!

I found this cute little ghost image. I popped up the fence and made it a little longer to fit the frame. I have done some masking on the trees, which by the way is from the new line of stamps. The background is sponged with Distress Inks, and the frame is embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder.

Anyway, here is a "just a note" card using
this gorgeous Daisy Bouquet from Heartfelt Creations.
As usual the image is colored with Distress inks. All decorative elements are Spellbinders.
